The Healers Oath embodies the ethical principle to which I abide by: I vow that:
I will be chaste and ethical in my life as a therapist and that I will be honest mentally, emotionally and physically in all my dealings in my profession.
I will treat people who seek my help as people and never just as patients. I will ensure that their dignity is preserved at all times.
I will refrain from making claims about my prowess and will not defame other therapists or professions.
I will maintain my ethics and the dignity of my chosen profession in all my dealings with my teachers, my fellow therapists, and with the general public.
I will seek to recognise my limitations and work to overcome them, but I will always work within the limits of my ability. Above all: I will do no harm.
